Amari Rolle, 17, Arrested For 5 Counts Of Attempted Murder

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 17-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 1000 hours, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

Charges:

  • attempted murder in the 2nd degree (5 counts).

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the three persons of interest depicted in the attached photograph in connection to an assault (non-fatal shooting) that occurred within the confines of the 40 Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at approximately 1548 hours, police received multiple 911 calls for multiple persons shot at the northeast corner of Courtlandt Avenue and E. 151st Street. Police responded to the location and initially observed four gunshot victims, who were subsequently transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, via EMS, and are listed in stable condition.

The victims are listed as follows:

Victim 1: 10-year-old male with a gunshot wound to abdomen and left leg.

Victim 2: 36-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

Victim 3: 19-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

Victim 4: 20-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

Victim 5: Police then discovered a fifth gunshot victim opposite 626 Courtlandt Avenue. The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem, via EMS, also in stable condition. This victim is a 14-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

The adult male responsible for this shooting incident is described as a male, dark complexion; last seen wearing black sneakers, blue jeans, a black jacket and a blue hooded sweatshirt, running east bound on E. 151st Street.

As of today three unidentified individuals are persons of interest, who were in the company of the suspect and sought for questioning in regard to the above incident.

They are described as follows:

Individual 1: Male, dark complexion, medium build. He last seen wearing a fur collared jacket, black pants, black sneakers and a black knit cap.

Individual 2: Male, dark complexion, thin build. He last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black sneakers.

Individual 3: Male, dark complexion, medium build. He last seen wearing a black jacket with a red letter “C” on the front, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
