On Friday, September 03, 2021, at approximately 2038 hours, police responded to a 911 calls of a shooting in front of 1137 E. 229th Drive North (Edenwald Houses) within the confines of the 47th Precinct / Police Service Area 8 in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his chest.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Montefiore Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation a 17-year-old male individual was arrested on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 0330 hours.
Charges:
- murder;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
