The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted in connection to an attempted robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct / Transit District 11 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday September 13, 2020, at approximately 1155 hours, inside of a southbound 4 train at the 170th Street station, the individual grabbed the 33-year-old female victim by her wrist and tried to remove her bag.

The victim fought off the individual and managed to keep ahold of her bag as she stepped off the train.

The individual remained on the train and displayed a knife as the train’s doors closed.

The victim suffered pain and bruising to her right wrist as a result of the attack.

The individual is described as a male, Black, in his 30s, with a goatee.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and camouflaged pants.
