On Sunday, October 24, 2021 at approximately 1500 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a past assault inside of 234 E. 149th Street, NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers were met by a 17-year-old female, who stated she had previously given birth to a male child inside of her apartment, located on E. 158th Street, within the confines of the 40th Precinct.
Further investigation revealed that the female had discarded the newborn out of her 5th floor apartment window, into a flowerbed in the front of the building.
Upon a canvass conducted, an approximately 1-day-old male was discovered, unconscious and unrespsonsive.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the infant deceased at the scene.
The Medical Examiner has now determined the child’s (John Doe) death to be a homicide.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the below individual has been arrested and charged.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
