A Male Teenager, 17, Arrested Along Tyrek Williams, 20, For The Murder Of Dandre Johnson, 24

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at approximately 2255 hours, police responded to a call of a person, shot at the corner of E. 149th Street and Concord Avenue, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male, with a gunshot wound to the back and arm.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 20-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 0135 hours within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

Arrested:

Tyrek Williams

Brooklyn, NY 11233

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal use of a firearm.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, an unnamed 17-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 1645 hours, within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm (2 counts).

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
