On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 0037 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in front of 17 Somers Street, within the confines of the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
EMS responded and transported the victim to One Brooklyn Health – Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
