Help Identify An Assault Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance video in connection with an assault (non-fatal shooting) that occurred within the confines of the 42 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 0127 hours, at 1245 Intervale Avenue, an unknown individual did fire a single shot at a group of individuals congregating in front of the location before fleeing in an unknown direction.

A 23-year-old male victim sustained a single gunshot wound to his hip. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital, where he has since been treated and released.

The individual is described as an adult male, medium complexion, with a long beard. He was last seen wearing a hoodie, jeans and sneakers.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
