The Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association (PPNA) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its next community meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Bronx House, Inc., located at 990 Pelham Parkway South, Bronx, NY 10461. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
This month’s meeting will feature a confirmed special guest presentation from Neighborhood SHOPP, an organization dedicated to supporting older adults and strengthening communities through a wide range of social services and assistance programs. Representatives from Neighborhood SHOPP will introduce residents to the many services their organization provides and explain how local seniors and families can benefit from their programs.
A key focus of the evening will be the important issue of elder abuse awareness. The presentation will highlight the signs of elder abuse and discuss the organization’s Violence Intervention and Prevention Program, which aims to protect vulnerable members of the community and provide support to those in need. Attendees will learn how to recognize warning signs, understand available resources, and help ensure that seniors in the community remain safe and supported.
This meeting will also include updates from representatives of elected officials who serve the area. These updates will provide residents with important information about ongoing initiatives, neighborhood developments, and public services affecting the Pelham Parkway community and the broader Bronx.
