On Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at approximately 0443 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision, involving a motorcyclist, struck near the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard and White Plains Road, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 25-year-old male motorcyclist, lying on the roadway with severe trauma about the body.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined a 43-year-old female was operating a 2019 Toyota Corolla, traveling westbound on Bruckner Boulevard, when she inadvertently struck (rear-ended) the 25-year-old male’s Yamaha motorcycle. The motorcyclist fell to the roadway and under her vehicle, and was then dragged for a distance before coming to a rest.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
