Date: August 1st, 2009
Time: 5:00-10:00 pm
Where: 79 Walker Street, New York

50X50 Art for Tibet will showcase artwork by more than 50 artists from around the world in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan freedom struggle.

The majority of the displayed works in the show will also be on sale for an incredible $100 each, making this event an affordable art show for all New Yorkers. Select works will be available through silent auction.

All proceeds from the art show will help support Students for a Free Tibet and the struggle for Tibetan freedom and independence.

The diverse group of artists participating in the show includes contemporary artists from New York, Los Angeles, Paris, San Francisco, Kathmandu, London, and Germany, as well as some of the best-known contemporary Tibetan artists working in exile today.

During the show, there will also be live sets by New York DJ Spiritbear (Acid Test DJ’s / SuperSpirit) and a live painting collaboration between a New York artist and a contemporary Tibetan painter. Drinks provided by Beerlao.

If you’re going to be in or near New York City on August 1st make sure you don’t miss this one-time only event!
