4th Annual Bronx Hip Hop Block Party

The Bronx Hip Hop Block Party is an annual hip hop festival that started May 2011 to pay homage to the birthplace of hip hop.

This family friendly event is filled with interactive activities aimed to inspire creativity in the youth culture through the power of music. This event is set to bring the community together and honor the birth place of Hip-Hop through the means of Art, Dance, Rap, DJ Mixing and Fashion. There will be educational forums, mentoring and motivational speakers as well.

To kick off the 2014 festival, DJ Envy of The Breakfast Club and LA Sunshine of the Treacherous 3 will host a  celebrity basketball game which will feature celebrities from the music and television industry as well as our Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz Jr. At “Stage A” which is located outdoors there will be live performances and interviews from Hip Hop and R&B’s brightest stars.

This year’s honoree will be the Legendary Kool Herc!

Previous BHHBP events boasted appearances from music superstar “Jim Jones” and a cast of iconic Hip Hop alumni like, Grand Master Caz, Grand Wizard Theodore, Wu Tang, Cuban Link, DJ Envy, Fred The Godson, Ron Browz, Large Professor, Mr. Cheeks, Slow Bucks, Love Bug Starski, Grand Daddy I U, Lord Finesse and more. BHHBP’s past events also honored the legendary Pioneer, ”DJ Mister Magic”.
