The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is investigating the death of a 27-year-old, who was shot in the Bronx Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to a 911 call at 270 E. 165th Street in Melrose around 5:25 p.m. when they found the victim, Timothy Hairston of 1755 Weeks Avenue in the Bronx, unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to his torso.
EMS transported Hairston to Lincoln Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
