The Bronx Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce’s 10th annual “Three Kings Day” celebration took place at the Bronx McDonald’s located at 85 Bruckner Boulevard on Friday, January 11, 2019.

Underprivileged children from South Bronx schools as well as the nearby homeless shelter were invited to gain a better understanding of the significance of “Three Kings Day” and celebrate with Happy Meals, ice cream and toys to take back home!

More than 30 children, parents and accompanying adults shared in the excitement. Frank Garcia, the Chairman of the NYS Coalition of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and some members of the Guardian Angels were also present to share in the festivities.

Thank you to Juan Antonio (Tony) Rodriguez for hosting the event at his store and for feeding the children.

His support towards “Three Kings Day”, the Youth Explorer program,  amongst other programs in the Bronx community does not go unnoticed. And thank you to Bishop Kirkland for providing toys and for sharing the meaning of “Three Kings Day” with the children. Her ongoing commitment to this wonderful event speaks volumes to her character and dedication.

McDonald’s Owner Operator Tony Rodriguez has most recently remodeled 3 stores in the Bronx Community over the past year – the West Fordham, Southern Boulevard & Fordham Rd and East Tremont locations. He owns 15 McDonald’s in the Bronx and Manhattan area, and his employees call him “Papi,” which means Dad in Spanish. He has been honored extensively for his philanthropy. Highlights include the Ronald Award from McDonald’s Corporation in recognition of his commitment to excellence within his stores and organization and his dedication and ongoing support to the communities in which he does business, the Business Leadership Award for the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Committee, Long Island Hispanic Business Person of the Year, New York State Businessman of the Year, United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Meritorious Service Award for distinguished volunteer services, 40th Precinct Community Council Award and Bronx Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recognition award for support and participation of Three Kings Day event.
