The Cuomo administration is looking for people to run four new clubhouses in New York City to help drug addicted young people gain life skills.
The state Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services on Wednesday issued a request for proposals to run the clubhouses, which would operate in Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, and Brooklyn. They are designed to target young adults in recovery or are at risk of addiction by providing help in developing social skills that promote a drug-free lifestyle, Gov. Cuomo said.
The youth clubhouses will target adolescents ages 12 to 17 or young adults ages 18 to 21.
“By providing more safe places to access services and support, we are taking another step forward in helping these adolescents get on the road to recovery and creating a healthier, stronger New York for all,” Gov. Cuomo said.
