Sick Report Daily Update
On Monday, May 18, 2020, 1,035 uniformed members of the NYPD were on sick report which accounts for 2.90% of the Department’s uniformed workforce. That is down from a high of 19.80%. To date, 5,650 members of the NYPD have tested positive for coronavirus.
As of today, Monday, May 18, 2020, 5,458 members of the NYPD have returned to work full duty after recovering from a positive test for the coronavirus and 112 uniformed members plus 38 civilian members are still out sick diagnosed with coronavirus.
Let us remember and pray for the 41 members of the service that have died due to coronavirus-related illness.
Officers continue to visit restaurants, bars, supermarkets, salons and public spaces to remind individuals of the ban on congregating in public spaces and to practice social distancing.
Between 08:00 a.m., Sunday, May 17, 2020 and 08:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2020:
- NYPD officers visited 2,827 supermarkets and pharmacies of which 1,184 were closed.
- NYPD officers visited 6,794 bars and restaurants of which 5,109 were closed.
- NYPD officers visited 1,132 public places of which 713 were closed.
- NYPD officers visited 2,728 personal care facilities of which 2,728were closed.
Social Distancing Enforcement
On May 17, 2020, there were no summonses issued in regard to social distancing enforcement.
