Tyanna Johnson, 19, Murdered; 3 Others Shot

On Friday, June 12, 2020, at 2301 hours, police responded to a 911 call of persons shot inside Shoelace Park, located at E. 226 Street and Bronx Boulevard, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a total of four gunshot victims:

  • a 15-year-old male was shot in the buttocks;
  • a 19-year-old female was shot about the body;
  • a 24-year-old male was shot in the groin;
  • a 16-year-old male was shot in the ankle.

EMS responded to the location and transported the 19-year-old female and 15-year-old male victims to NYC Health + Hospital / Jacobi, where the female was pronounced deceased and the male remains in stable condition.

The 24-year-old male and 16-year-old male victims were removed, via private means, to Montefiore North Hospital before being transferred to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, both in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

A reward up to the amount of $10,000 is being offered for information regarding this incident as follows.

  • $2,500 payable by Crime Stoppers upon the arrest and indictment of the person(s), responsible for the incident.
  • $7,500 payable by NYPD upon the arrest and conviction of the person(s), responsible for the incident.

Surveillance video clips and photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.
