Two Found Dead In Bronx Apartment Fire Were Stabbed Beforehand

Police say the two found dead after a Bronx apartment fire had been stabbed before the fire engulfed the room.

The men died from their stab wounds and police are investigating the incident, which happened Wednesday morning on Story Avenue, as a homicide.

Sources said a handgun was left on a nightstand in the bedroom and a knife was found on the bed.

There was also a safe in the apartment.

One of the men is identified as 24-year-old Kenny Sanchez.

The identity of the other man will have to be determined by the medical examiner.

Police are still investigating and no suspects have been identified.
