On Thursday, September 19, 2019 at approximately 2353 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a robbery in progress at 834 E. 223 Street, within the confines of the 47 Precinct of Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma about the head.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to Montefiore Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
A person of interest, a 54-year-old male, was taken into custody from the scene.

Pursuant to the ongoing investigation the above-listed incident has been deemed a homicide, and a 54-year-old male individual was arrested and charged as follows in the confines of the 47th Precinct in Bronx.
