Last Thursday, August 29, 2024, NYC Aging’s Talent is Timeless 2024 Bronx Boroughwide Competition took place at the Pregones Theater on 571 Walton Avenue Bronx, NY 10451.
The show started at 10:00 a.m. with acts, that have made it through three (3) rounds of competition with their music, dance and comedy.
More than 100 older adults and giests from across the borough attended the event and cheered on their friends. They laughed at comedians’ jokes, sung along with the bands and enjoyed watching the dancers.
“Our Talent is Timeless competition shows New York City the remarkable talents of older adults, and as older adults we continue to develop lifelong talents, or develop new ones, that entertain and bring joy to others. The Bronx boroughwide show was a fun and entertaining example of older people showing and sharing their talents, proving that indeed Talent is Timeless” said NYC Aging Commissioner Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez. “Just in its second year, this competition has grown, with even more older adults excited to participate. I’m thrilled to see what this year’s grand finale will bring.”
The winners will be competing in the grand finale at the United Palace Theater.
