On Tuesday, September 07, 2021, at 2030 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck at Johnson Avenue and Kappock Street within the confines of the 50th Precinct in the Bronx.
Preliminary investigation determined that an MTA bus traveling south on Kappock Street and turning left onto Johnson Avenue struck a 68-year-old female, who was crossing the street.
The female was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the MTA bus remained at the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
