Come recycle your hard-to-get-rid-of items, and learn about recycling and other environmental actions you can take, at the Riverdale Y’s Environmental Fair on Sunday, June 7 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Y is located at 5625 Arlington Avenue (off 256 Street) in Northwest Bronx. Directions to the Y can be found here. You can also call the Riverdale Y at 718-548-8200.

Participate in SHREDFEST – Shred your personal documents on Pratt Industries industrial shredder, protect your identity and recycle!

Drop off your gently used toys (NO plush toys, please!) in the bin in the Y’s main lobby. The Y will sell them at the Fair and profits will go to the Y’s children’s programming.

Bead for Life: As seen on NBC’s Today Show and PBS. The Y will be selling beaded jewelry made by Ugandan women from recycled magazine paper. The project is bringing these women, and their children, out of poverty. 100% of the proceeds benefit Bead for Life.
