On Saturday, March 07, 2020, at approximately 0435 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress in Transit, near the mezzanine area of the south bound 6 line, within the confines of the 43 Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed two males with stab wounds to the torso, at the bottom of the stairs leading to the mezzanine area.
EMS responded to the location and transported one of the males, a 25-year-old male, to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The second male victim was transported, via EMS, to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
Following proper family notification, the victim has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 42-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Sunday, March 08, 2020, at 1835 hours within the confines of the 43 Precinct in the Bronx.

Charges:
- murder,
- attempted murder,
- assault,
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
