Authorities have identified the man who they believe gunned down a Bronx woman just steps away from her Williamsbridge home last week.

Brown's gun.

According to police, 23-year-old Brendrick “Diddy” Brown shot and killed 31-year-old Dune Janelle Jacobs in the early hours of December 2, 2014 as she was walking on East 213th Street and Carlisle Place at around 12:45 a.m. Jacobs later died at a hospital.

Brown is member of the “Young Guns” street crew and he mistook Jacobs, a cook at Buffalo Wild Wings, for a 23-year-old man who is a known member of Bloods-affiliated “Brothers for Another.”

Brown, who has a lengthy rap sheet, was last seen at a relative’s home in South Carolina.

Cops also arrested Omar Hidalgo, 26, who they said rented the car used in the crime from a Hertz office in Florida. Hidalgo used a fake driver’s license and fraudulent credit card, according to police, who said he had rented the ride to the killer crew.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit NYPDCrimestoppers.com.

All calls are strictly confidential.
