Officials say none of the injuries were serious, reports NBC News. The injured were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx. According to a statement from the hospital, two men and one women were received, with two of the individuals refusing treatment.

The pilot of the plane, who remains unidentified, made the surprise landing due to a passenger on the flight having “an onboard emergency,” said Nancy Silvestri, deputy press secretary of the New York City Office of Emergency Management.

The FAA says the four-seat, one-engine 1966 Piper PA received minor damage in the emergency landing, reports WNBC. Silvestri said the emergency landing occurred as the group was returning to Danbury, Conn., after traveling for a “tour of the Statue of Liberty.”
