The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the registered owner of the vehicle, seen in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at 0007 hours, in front of 2266 Bruckner Boulevard a 59-year-old male victim was found unconscious and unresponsive by EMS.
He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he is currently in critical condition.
On December 10, 2020, after further investigation by the 43rd Detective Squad and the Collision Investigation Squad into the above-losted incident, a video was recovered that shows the victim, being struck by a light-colored minivan, which was travelling east bound on Bruckner Boulevard. This vehicle is then observed on video stopping just east after striking the pedestrian. Two individuals are seen running east bound past the pedestrian while lying on the ground and then enter the vehicle and seen fleeing the scene.
On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, the obove-listed 59-year-old male individual was pronounced deceased.
