Omar Lamoni, 40 & Edwin Nina, 39, Arrested For The Murder Of Kristopher Samaroo, 30

On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at approximately 1810 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 1022 Throgs Neck Expressway, within the confines of the 45th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old male victim with trauma about the body.

The voctim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 43- and 39-year-old male individuals were arrested and charged on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 2130 hours, within the confines of the 45th Precinct.

Charges:

  • assault in the 2nd degree;
  • endangering the welfare of a child.

Edwin Nina

Charges:

  • assault in the 2nd degree;
  • criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree.

The investigation remains ongoing.
