This Friday, The New York Public Library will kick off Anti-Prom at Clason’s Point Library, closing out Bronx Week with an evening of fun. The free, annual party for young people ages 12-18 prides itself on inclusivity, welcoming people from all sexualities, gender identities, and backgrounds. This after-hours event will involve a DJ, dancing, snacks, free book giveaway, and arts activities. The event will take plase on Friday, May 16, 2025, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., at Clason’s Point Library at 1215 Morrison Avenue, Bronx, NY 10472.
Anti-Prom is one of NYPL’s highest profile events for young adults and recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary. The program series is an important part of the Library’s efforts to reach New York youth alongside its growing number of Teen Centers, robust Banned Book Club, and empowering Teen Voices Magazine.
