On Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1319 hours, the following 53-year-old male on-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged within the confines of the 105th Precinct in Queens.
Arrested:
Brian Greenspan
NYC Department of Education Employee
Charges:
- forcible touching;
- sexual abuse in the 3rd degree;
- endangering the welfare of a child.
We received the following anonymous statement in support of Mr. Greenspan:
“As one of Mr. Greenspan’s students who actually witnessed what happened, it is unconscionable to ruin this innocent man’s career, name, and reputation,
“He merely tapped the girl asking her to step aside so he could walk by because of the crowded room. Nothing less and nothing more. This is a 100% false case and smear campaign against him from the Muslim student who is absolutely causing problems where there are none, reporting what she overheard her friend mention and taking it out of context, twisting and distorting the truth.
“You know how gossip and false allegations with fake news spread like wildfire. Please quote me anonymously if you wish… this is a wonderful teacher who deserves rewards. There is not one single student that you will ever find in the last 30 years that he is taught here that will say anything different than I am saying.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
