The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is trying to figure out what is causing car after car on the Cross Bronx Expressway to get flat tires.
Numerous vehicles were parked on the Eastbound side of the freeway with deflated tires Saturday night.
Officials are trying to figure out if there is a pothole or some sort of protrusion, which is causing the flats.
One motorist said she was coming from the West Side Highway on to the Cross Bronx right before the Major Deegan Expressway where she hit a pothole without realizing it. There were other cars on the side of the road, which had suffered the same fate.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
