The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individuals, depicted in the attached media, who are wanted in connection with a homicide, that occurred within the confines of the 46th Precinct and Transit District 11 in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Friday, February 23, 2024 at approximately 0502 hours, the victim, a 45-year-old male, was seated aboard a southbound D train departing the Fordham Road subway station.
An unknown individual sat down next to the victim, where a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation. The individual was joined by two additional unknown individuals, who acting in concert, physically assaulted the victim.
The individuals were last seen fleeing the train at the 182nd – 183rd Street subway station.
The individuals are described as two males and a female.
The victim was removed by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim suffered a wound consistent with either a gunshot wound or a puncture wound from a sharp object to the chest.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the following two (2) male, and one (1) female individuals have been identified as being wanted in regard to the above-listed homicide.
Wanted:
- Justin Herde, 24, male;
- Betty Cotto, 38, female;
- Alfredo Trinidad, 42, male.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
