On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at approximately 1700 hours, police responded to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital for a past assault, that occurred at approximately 0730 hours at 4441 Furman Avenue within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers were informed by a 50-year-old male victim that he had been punched multiple times in the face by an unknown male individual.
The victim was transported to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital by private means with swelling and bruising to the face.
The victim succumbed to his injuries on July 6, 2024.
The Medical Examiner has deemed this incident a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
