Luis Rodriguez, 60, Murdered

On Friday, August 21, 2020, at approximately 0205 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 735 E. 179 Street, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed three individuals with gunshot wounds as follows.

  • Victim #1 is a 60-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the torso.
  • Victim #2 is a 36-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
  • Victim #3 is a 54-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the right arm and buttocks.

EMS responded to the location and pronounced victim #1 deceased at the scene, while transporting both victims #2 and #3 to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they are listed in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of the following vehicles depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photographs in connection to the above-mentioned homicide.

The vehicles are described as a gray 4-door sedan and a black SUV.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
