On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at approximately 1347 hours, police responded to a 911 call regarding a male, shot at E. 198th Street and Bainbridge Avenue, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 40-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg, unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
