On Sunday, September 12, 2021 at approximately 0116 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a female, shot at W. 128th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, within the confines of the 32nd Precinct in Manhattan.
Upon arrival, police observed, in front of 300 W. 128th Street, a 31-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head, unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS transported the female to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem, where she was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to the ongoing investigation, the following 40-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Thursday, September 16, 2021, in the confines of the 32nd Precinct as follows.

- menacing;
- criminal possession of a weapon;
- acting in a manner, injurious to a child.
The investigation remains ongoing.
