On Sunday, August 18, 2024, at approximately 0400 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided person’s case inside of 1512 Leland Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 44-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive on the floor.
EMS responded and pronounced the aided deceased.
The incident was deemed a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 50-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 1025 hours, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct.

Charges:
- manslaughter;
- assault in the 1st degree;
- assault in the 2nd degree.
The investigation remains ongoing.
