On Sunday, May 19, 2024, at approximately 2250 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of two (2) males, shot in the vicinity of 4032 Ely Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head and a 40-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
EMS responded and transported both males to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where the 30-year-old male was later pronounced deceased.
The 40-year-old male was in stable condition at that time.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
