Joseph Greco, 78, Dead In A Motor Vehicle Collision

On Saturday, February 08, 2020, at approximately 1251 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision on the Bronx River Parkway at E. 177th Street exit ramp, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in th Bronx.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 78-year-old male was operating a 2011 Lincoln Town Car southbound on the Bronx River Parkway in the right lane, when he rear-ended a 2016 BMW X5, operated by a 33-year-old male, who braked due to vehicular traffic congestion ahead.

Two other vehicles, a 2018 Volkswagon Jetta, operated by a 62-year-old female and a 2019 Toyota Camry, operated by 23-year-old male, were also rear-ended during this incident.

The operator of the Lincoln Town Car was removed to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi in serious condition.

On Thursday, February 13, 2020, the male operator succumbed to his injuries.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
