The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is asking for any information the public can provide in regard to a homicide, which occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at approximately 2345 hours, a 34-year-old male victim was in the vicinity of E. 170th Street and Jerome Avenue, when he became engaged in a verbal dispute with an unknown individual. A physical altercation ensued, and the victim sustained injuries to the head.
The individual fled the location in an unknown direction.
The victim later went to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi in stable condition via private means.
The victim succumbed to his injuries on December 31, 2023, and the Office of Chief Medical Examiner deemed this incident a homicide on July 1, 2024.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
