On Thursday, June 22, 2023, at approximately 2103 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided male / calls for help inside of 1165 Shakespeare Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in theBronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old male in a semi-conscious state within the fifth-floor hallway, with a sustained laceration under his chin.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
The incident has been deemed a homicide; the victim sustained apparent traumatic head injury.
There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
