On Monday, May 24, 2021, at approximately 1556 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male, lying on a park bench inside of Inwood Park, opposite 14 W. Mount Eden Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 47-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with head and body trauma; a laceration above his left eye and bruising to his body.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the above-listed incident has been deemed a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
