The new season of the NFL is here, and the draft for the season 2022-23 is over. A lot has happened during this period, and in a few weeks, the rollercoaster of emotions will be underway. Here, we will discuss some of the teams and their position for the game.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills have drafted an incredible team. Their team is balanced and looks formidable, probably favorites to win this season. The reason for the Bills to be considered favorites is Josh Allen. He is an MVP contender for the 2022-23 season because he locked horns with Patrick Mahomes and gave him a tough time in an overtime playoff in 2021.
Since Allen joined them, the Bills have won 10 matches in three consecutive seasons. The chances are bright for them to win the AFC East title for the third time straight. Bills were also able to sign Von Miller, who will join hands with a sturdy defense, Tre’Davious White and Tremaine Edmunds.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are looking to strengthen their catching. They have traded Tyreek Hill to Dolphins and, in return, remodeled their offense. They have also recruited new faces, like JuJu Smith, Marquez Valdes, and Skyy Moore, to help Mahomes.
Patrick Mahomes still makes waves in the NFL betting. He will be marching the offensive attack this season with the newcomers, which makes him a contestant for the second MVP award. The record of the Chiefs under Reid is remarkable. They hope to continue to produce such results and appear in the Super Bowl this season.
Cincinnati Bengals
The runners-up from the previous Super Bowl, the Bengals, will be looking to defend the AFC Championship. Their postseason run last season was one of the biggest turnarounds. In the last two seasons, the Bengals, under their coach Zac Taylor, have been quite good.
The Bengals have got back QB Joe Burrow and improved their overall offensive line. They will have three starters in the likes of Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, and La’el Collins. Based on skills, the Bengals might have one of the best combinations.
Despite being the strongest among the group, the Bengals’ run to the AFC Championship will be tough. The Browns, Ravens, and Steelers have improved their squads and will challenge the Bengals.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns have made things really interesting after picking QB Deshaun Watson. A three-time Pro Bowler who is facing 22 civil lawsuits. The chances of Watson playing are bleak and might stay suspended for a good part of the season.
Until then, the Browns will have Jacoby Brissett as an interim replacement. Despite their uncertain QB position, the Browns have drafted some top talent in the NFL. Nick Chubb, Cooper, Myles Garrett, and Denzel Ward all are potentially Pro Bowlers.
New England Patriots
The Patriots used to be a powerhouse. But they haven’t won a single playoff game in four games, which they are hoping to change this season. The Patriots will rely on QB Mac Jones, rookie of the year. They have built the team around him by trading DeVante Parker, drafting Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, and Tyquan Thornton.
Denver Broncos
The biggest addition of the season is made by the Broncos, QB Russell Wilson. With his addition, they look to break the streak of missing the playoffs for six consecutive years. The last time the Broncos made it to the playoffs they won the Super Bowl. So the hopes are high as they will enter the AFC West with expectations and challenge the Raiders, the Chargers, and the Chiefs.
