One of the oldest Ethiopian churches in New York, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Medhanialem Church has officially moved into a newly purchased property in the Norwood section of Bronx at 302 East 206 Street.

The congregation had gathered at the historic Riverside Church in Manhattan for over three decades.

Last weekend, the dedication program included an all-night vigil prayer held on Friday, May 2nd as well as a procession of the Ark and a celebratory lunch on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
