The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photo who is wanted for questioning in regard to an attempted robbery that occurred within confines of the 46 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to the police that on Monday, October 07, 2019, at approximately 0900 hours, in front of 165 Bush Street, a 26-year-old female victim was walking on the sidewalk when she was approached by an unidentified male. The male attempted to forcibly remove the victim’s cell phone from her hand and the individual punched the victim in the head with a closed fist. When he was unable to remove the phone, the individual then fled the location eastbound on Bush Street.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male with black afro-style hair with yellow-blonde tips.

He was last seen wearing gray pants, a black t-shirt, and red backpack. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
