The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photographs, who is wanted in connection to an attempted robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 52nd Precinct / Transit District 11 in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to Police that on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 1010 hours, inside of the Woodlawn subway station on the 4 line, a 58-year-old male victim was riding the southbound 4 train when an unknown male attempted to snatch the victim’s phone from his hands as the doors opened, which caused the victim to fall to the ground.
The male individual was unable to remove the phone from the victim and did flee on foot and exited the station to parts unknown.
No property was ever removed.
The victim suffered pain and bruising from the fall.
EMS responded and transported the victim to Montefiore hospital in stable condition.
The individual being sought is described as a male, Black, 20-30 years in age.
