The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is sought in connection with an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Monday, May 31, 2021, at approximately 1730 hours, an 83-year-old male victim was attempting to exit MTA Bus 8621 in the vicinity of Barnes Avenue and East Gun Hill Road, when he engaged in a verbal dispute with an unknown male individual. As the dispute turned physical, the individual poured liquid over the victim’s head and then proceeded to punch him multiple times in the face with a closed fist.

The individual exited the bus and fled westbound on East Gun Hill Road.

The victim sustained multiple facial fractures and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi.

The individual is described as a dark-skinned male approximately 30-40 years of age, 5’11” tall, weighing 180 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a denim jacket, blue jeans, a black hat and black sneakers.
