The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, regarding a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 1150 hours, in front of 1216 Walton Avenue, an 83-year-old male victim was walking on the sidewalk, when an unknown individual approached him and asked him for money.
The victim stated that he had no money, and the individual proceeded to hit the victim with a yellow bag, causing him to fall to the ground. The individual then took the victim’s wallet and fled the location on foot.
The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.
