Help Identify A Robbery Suspect

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following individual wanted in connection to a robbery within the confines of the 44 Precinct in Bronx / Transit District 11.

The following has been reported to police.

On February 23, 2019 at approximately 0915 hours the individual approached the 35 year-old female victim on the stairs inside the 170 Street “B” and “D” subway station. The individual proceeded to put the victim in a chokehold, punch her in her face, and removed her wallet. The victim’s wallet contained multiple credit cards and undetermined amount of cash before fleeing onto the street to parts unknown.  The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspects is described as a male, black, 50 to 60 years-old.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
