The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the unidentified individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted in connection to a knifepoint robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 0145 hours, in front of 2 E. 167 Street, a 37-year-old male victim was walking on the street when an unidentified individual approached from behind, displayed a knife and demanded his property.
The individual then began to slash the victim about the hands and arms and forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone and fled the location on foot to parts unknown.
The victim suffered pain and lacerations.
EMS responded and transported the victim to Lincoln hospital in stable condition.
The victim’s property had an estimated value of $700.
The individual being sought is described as male, 20-30 years in age.
