The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, regarding a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Friday, March 06, 2020, at 1650 hours, inside the “Red Carpet Inn”, located 1300 Sedgwick Avenue, a 37-year-old male agreed to meet an unknown individual he met on a social media dating site. When the victim arrived late to the location, the individual became agitated, and a verbal disputed ensued leading to a physical altercation. The individual displayed a knife and removed the victim’s bookbag containing $55 cash, a set of head phones and a “Samsung” tablet, valued at $500, before fleeing the location to parts unknown.

The victim sustained minor injuries, but refused medical attention at the scene.

The individual is described as a 25- to 35-year-old male, medium complexion, medium build, approximately 5’9″ tall, with dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue bubble jacket, multi-colored sneakers and dark colored jeans.
