The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached photographs in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 44 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Thursday August 15, 2019, at approximately 1400 hours, in the vicinity of Webster Avenue and E. 174 Street, the male individual grabbed the 75-year-old male victim by the arm, told him he was the police and demanded to see his identification. When the victim produced his wallet to show the individual his ID, the individual grabbed the wallet and fled on foot northbound on Webster Avenue.

The individual is described as a male, Black, 20 to 30 years old, 5’5″, with short dreads; last seen wearing a white tank top, blue and white shorts, and white sneakers.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
